Explore Matsumoto Castle, Kanazawa’s geisha district and Kenrokuen Garden, the thatched-roof village of Shirakawa-go, and the Edo-period streets of Narai-juku. From the mountains, the route continues toward the Fuji Five Lakes, Hakone, and the Izu Peninsula—blending winding roads, dramatic scenery, traditional villages, and centuries of Japanese history.

Ride north from Tokyo into a wilder side of Japan, where ornate shrines, samurai history, sake country, and high mountain roads come together.

Visit Nikko’s UNESCO-listed Toshogu Shrine, explore Tsuruga Castle in historic Aizu-Wakamatsu, and tour the Hakkaisan Sake Brewery in Niigata. The riding is a major part of the experience, with Shibu Pass—the highest national highway point in Japan—the legendary Venus Line, and mile after mile of twisting mountain roads. The journey finishes with Mt. Fuji, the Fuji Five Lakes, and a spectacular coastal ride along the Izu Peninsula and Pacific Ocean.
